Operation Cheese

I was commissioned to design and paint this electrical box by the City of Ithaca, NY. It was part of a beautification project called 21 Boxes. I try to design my art projects to complement the space, and when I first saw this sterile metal box, the first thing that came to mind was a giant block of cheese. As if a giant block of cheese wasn't whimsical enough, I designed a couple rappelling mice that I airbrushed on the block of cheese.
